  31. This question isn't relevant to the question of CPU loading.
  32. Controlling the ZMODEM window with the sz -w option is exactly
  33. that!  An option.  It can be used to enforce a high level flow
  34. control when lower levels of flow control are not set properly.
  35. It cal also be used to generate activity on the reverse channel
  36. to prevent idleout programs from fragging the transfer.  It is
  37. not the default because it can reduce throughput in some
  38. situations.

  63. I used the same very aggressively optimized .kermrc file I used
  64. for the Protocol Shootout.  It is more aggressive (when sending
  65. to ZCOMM or Professional-YAM) than MSKermit allows.  It also
  66. disables Kermit's default file corruption transfer mode.

  78. The default for Professional-YAM and ZCOMM is to transfer files without
  79. translation.  Professional-YAM and ZCOMM Kermit transfers feature
  80. automatic Kermit downloads.  In fact these programs are so quick they
  81. often beat MSKermit on downloads from Unix CKermit.

  83. Despite Frank and Joe's expressed enthusiasm for quality Kermit
  84. implmentations, I rather doubt that ZCOMM and Professional-YAM will appear
  85. in any Columbia University list of efficient Kermit programs.
